Thin Black Metal / by Miriam

An architectural element that has caught on in popularity is thin black aluminum doors. Looking through, the thin frame allows one to see more, secondly, the black color draws the focus to the view, not the door itself. Maintenance is hardly a factor since the material is corrosion-resistant and will last for generations, contrary to wood framed doors that are expensive to keep. Interestingly, the thin black metal doors are specified by architects and interior designers in both modern and classical architecture.
